About Bryan Hinkley

Bryan Porter Hinkley is a Boston-based guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. He’s known for co-founding and playing guitar in the punk rock bands Tree and Never Got Caught and founding the music house Gratitude Sound.

In High School, Bryan joined the punk/hardcore band Tree, with his brother. In addition to recording multiple albums and years of international touring with Tree, Bryan has toured with the bands Gang Green, Clutch, and his first project as a frontman, Never Got Caught. Bryan also held the titles of tour manager, stage manager, and guitar tech.

Bryan’s composition work has been featured in multiple TV commercials, films, and network television shows. In addition to his featured work, Bryan has contributed to recordings by The Dropkick Murphys, Yothu Yindi, Gozu, Sam Black Church, Clutch, and The Voodoo Dolls. He’s performed at The Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, The River Rave, Download Festival, CMJ, and SXSW. He’s won multiple awards, including a Clio for best original music in a commercial (Cheerios), a Doobie Award from High Times for best rally band (Tree), and multiple Boston Music Awards. Bryan has lectured at Berklee School of Music, UMASS, The Boston Arts Academy, and Northeastern University, and volunteers to teach songwriting to incarcerated youth.
